GRACE

GOD HAS NEVER BEEN FAR AWAY. God knows us better than we understand ourselves. God has always known why man does what He does. In the Bible God sees us live with a broken compass. God’s language in the Bible is of grief over our choices which hurt us and those around us. He grieves that we have accepted such a low view of life as normal.

God reveals that it’s impossible for us to be whom we were made to be. We were made to be perfectly loving, perfectly good, and perfectly in love with God. We have all failed at this, and none of us can ever strive and become this. Since birth, nobody can work or labor to change their own hearts and stop sinning. We cannot stop and we can never clean off the sin from our hearts. Naturally, we are separated from God here on earth and forever in eternity. God knew this, and GOD KNEW WE WERE WITH NO HOPE.

But God chose to do something. God chose to do what we could not do. God chose to come and save us. The beginning of the Bible (Old Testament) is all about how God was going to come and save the whole world through a Savior who would be God Himself. Jesus came and fulfilled everything the Old Testament promised. Jesus would suffer and die to forgive us of all of our sins (Isaiah 53). Jesus would give us a new heart and change us by putting His Spirit in us (Jeremiah 31). Through saving us, Jesus would satisfy our souls and give us rest and peace with God (Isaiah 55). Jesus would bring the message and hope for salvation to all the world (Genesis 12:2, Matthew 28:16-20). Jesus would come back and begin a whole new world, full of Justice, peace, and eternal life(Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 11:1-9). To receive this grace and all of the promises God gives, all we must do is ASK IN FAITH FOR GOD TO RESCUE US (Ephesians 2:1-10). This faith must see our lives as it really is and begin to see that we have sinned against God and that we need to turn to Jesus to heal us and save us. For all who KNOCK on this door, Jesus promises to open the door and show us His love.

Q. Did you know that God knows the worst about you but still chose to suffer death in order to give you the choice to be loved and forgiven forever?

Q. Is it strange that the God of the Bible is not looking for religion and duty but instead sincerity and relationship?
