CREATION

The beginning of the Bible (Genesis 1-2), tells us God’s perspective of the beginning and the purpose of humanity. In this, we gain the answer to the very important question: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE HUMAN. To be human is that we were created under the rule and glory of God. We were made to be like Him and that every aspect of our humanity would be satisfied by Him. That we would live intimately with God and enjoy the glory of His nature.

Knowing where we came from, and what we were made for, answers the questions of what we are missing and why we yearn for it. In creation, God created us to never experience want, death, pain, injustice, broken relationships, confusion, purposelessness, or wandering. All of these things are not apart of God's perfect vision for creation. God made us and wants us to observe our life now and know, this is not how it should be, that we were made for something more.

Q. Do we yearn for this? Does this sound good?

Q. This is what we really are. In what ways do you not feel like this?

CREATION BIG IDEA: Creation shows us what we were made for and how we were supposed to be, to give us clarity on what we fell away from and help understand why we desire what we desire.
